XBLADE SNOWPLOW
Your equipment has to live up to the challenge your customers demand. With exclusive X-Bracing and premium stainless steel moldboard, you simply can’t find a commercial snowplow built tougher than this.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS OF THE FISHER XBLADE SNOWPLOW:
- MOLDBOARD
The blade is a full 31” high for plowing through the deepest snows.
Available in 7 ½’, 8’, 8 ½’ and 9’ blade sizes, the XBLADE moldboard is built of premium corrosion-resistant stainless steel, for a plow that’s as rugged as it is striking, for the ultimate in durability and performance that hardworking professionals demand.
The polyethylene moldboard option on the 8’ and 9’ blade widths is bolted to the top frame with stainless steel fasteners and is mechanically interlocked on the bottom to a powder coated steel structure for a truly rust-free snowplow blade. Snow easily rolls off its slick surface for added snowplowing efficiency.
- X-BRACING
Exclusive X-BRACING features two vertical and eight diagonal ribs for providing superior torsional strength and rigidity to eliminate moldboard stress.
- ATTACK ANGLE AND CURL
The XBLADE features an extreme 75 degree attack angle for exceptional ice breaking and scraping.
The blade curls to a full 10” overhang for optimum snow rolling and foiling action, to keep snow off the windshield.
- DOUBLE ANGLE BASE ANGLE
The extreme double angle base angle design provides superior strength and rigidity to eliminate stress on the blade.
1” base angle pins provide added strength for a longer life, and the high carbon steel wear pads provide the longest cutting edge wear of any on the market.
- TRIP-EDGE DESIGN
Only the edge of the blade trips when an obstacle is encountered. It’s much less jarring than a full-trip blade, and because the blade stays upright, plowed snow remains in front of the blade. Fisher Engineering’s trip edge uses compression-type springs. They never need adjusting and are never stretched like extension springs, providing the longest life of any type of spring on the market.
- IN-CAB CONTROLS
Hand-held control with backlit directional buttons provides precise response. Choose between the convenient hand-held Fish-Stik® control with power “on” and “float” LED and automatic shut-off, or the compact joystick control.
- FAST AND DURABLE HYDRAULICS
Two-way, poppet-style valves allow a higher volume of fluid flow than traditional 3- or 4-way spool valves. All solenoids are independently powered and grounded directly to the battery through our plow module for reliability. Easy access to hydraulic fluid fills and drain ports.
- INTENSIFIRE LIGHTS
The state-of-the-art reflector optics provide a smooth wide beam pattern that illuminates the entire plowing surface, with minimal glare above the lamp, especially during snowfall. 1,500 hour, H I 3, long-life headlamp bulb minimizes bulb replacement over the life of the lamp. Three-screw bulb access cover attachment and twist-in headlamp bulb makes replacement quick and easy. Lens is adhesive bonded to the reflector and the reflector is adhesive bonded to the housing, sealing out water that could potentially freeze and damage the assembly. Robust, two-stud mounting keeps the lamp in its original mounting position – even when subjected to the harshest shock and vibration forces.
- CHAIN LIFT SYSTEM
With the chain lift system, you get instantaneous “float” when lowering the blade. Unrestricted, the blade can freely follow the contours of the plowing surface for a cleaner scrape. With the chain lift you can stack higher because you’re not limited by the hydraulic ram stroke, unlike cylinder lift systems, which can only pull the plow up as far as the limits of the cylinder’s range. In the rare event of a hydraulic failure, you can push the plow up into a snow bank and “short chain” the plow by attaching it to the specially designed bracket and safely transport the plow back to the shop.
- STORM GUARD POWDER COAT
With the STORM GUARD powder coating process, the automated climate-controlled powder booth ensures uniform coverage to all surfaces. Fisher has added a new epoxy primer to further enhance powder coat adhesion and improve corrosion resistance.
- MINUTE MOUNT 2 SYSTEM
100% mechanical design means there are no electrical components or hydraulic assist gimmicks to fail. The attachment arms and lower gear are flared both vertically and horizontally to make the drive-in connection easy.
