HD SERIES
When the pros are looking for a straight blade with real earning power, they turn to the rugged FISHER® HD Series more than any other snowplow in the FISHER line. With 7 ½’, 8’, 8 ½’ and 9’ options, there’s a tough HD ready to meet the demands of even your most punishing commercial applications.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS OF THE FISHER HD SERIES SNOWPLOW:
- MOLDBOARD
Designed for ½-, ¾- and 1-ton four-wheel drive trucks, as well as today’s 15,000 GVW Super Duty vehicles, these snowplow blades are 29” high and built with the heavy 11 gauge steel (12 gauge steel for the 7 ½' blade). Available in 7 ½’, 8’, 8 ½’ and 9’ widths. The full base angle does not require a cutting edge, allowing for more wear. Eight vertical ribs provide superior moldboard reinforcement.
- CHAIN LIFT SYSTEM
With the chain lift system, you get instantaneous “float” when lowering the blade. Unrestricted, the blade can freely follow the contours of the plowing surface for a cleaner scrape. With the chain lift you can stack higher because you’re not limited by the hydraulic ram stroke, unlike cylinder lift systems, which can only pull the plow up as far as the limits of the cylinder’s range. In the rare event of a hydraulic failure, you can push the plow up into a snow bank and “short chain” the plow by attaching it to the specially designed bracket and safely transport the plow back to the shop.
- FAST AND DURABLE HYDRAULICS
Fast responsive hydraulics maximize snowplowing efficiency.
- TRIP-EDGE DESIGN
Only the edge of the blade trips when an obstacle is encountered. It’s much less jarring than a full-trip blade, and because the blade stays upright, plowed snow remains in front of the blade. Fisher Engineering’s trip edge uses compression-type springs. They never need adjusting and are never stretched like extension springs, providing the longest life of any type of spring on the market.
- MINUTE MOUNT 2 SYSTEM
100% mechanical design means there are no electrical components or hydraulic assist gimmicks to fail. The attachment arms and lower gear are flared both vertically and horizontally to make the drive-in connection easy.
- IN-CAB CONTROLS
Hand-held control with backlit directional buttons provides precise response. Choose between the convenient hand-held Fish-Stik® control with power “on” and “float” LED and automatic shut-off, or the compact joystick control.
- INTENSIFIRE LIGHTS
The state-of-the-art reflector optics provide a smooth wide beam pattern that illuminates the entire plowing surface, with minimal glare above the lamp, especially during snowfall. 1,500 hour, H I 3, long-life headlamp bulb minimizes bulb replacement over the life of the lamp. Three-screw bulb access cover attachment and twist-in headlamp bulb makes replacement quick and easy. Lens is adhesive bonded to the reflector and the reflector is adhesive bonded to the housing, sealing out water that could potentially freeze and damage the assembly. Robust, two-stud mounting keeps the lamp in its original mounting position – even when subjected to the harshest shock and vibration forces.
- STORM GUARD POWDER COAT
With the STORM GUARD powder coating process, the automated climate-controlled powder booth ensures uniform coverage to all surfaces. Fisher has added a new epoxy primer to further enhance powder coat adhesion and improve corrosion resistance. Plus the trademark FISHER® yellow finish is reformulated to maintain that new snowplow look even longer.
